Create a Basic Skin

This is the skin we will create in this tutorial. It shows a featured image with overlaping content box.

To create your skin, go to Divi library and click on Add New button.

Name your skin and select Section from the layout type option. Click submit.

A new layout will be created. Here we will add divi modules to create our divi loop skin.

Let's add a row.

For the featured image we will add divi image module.

Click settings icon to edit the module.

Click on the dynamic content icon.

Select Featured Image from the options.

This will add the featured image to our posts loop.

Now we need to add content, let's add another row.

Select full-width column again.

Add a text module.

Click on the dynamic content icon.

Select Layout categories this time, this will display post categories in our loop module.

Click on the Save button.

Add another text module.

Click on the dynamic content icon again.

This time select Layout Title option to display post titles.

Add another text module.

Click on the dynamic content icon again.

Now select Publish Date option to display post date.

Now we have added Featured Image, Categories, Title, and Date. Update the layout.

This is how this skin display posts in the divi loop module.

Add some styling to our content. Do it as you normally style the divi modules, as they are the default divi modules anyway.

This is how it looks now with some styling applied.

To overlap the content box as per our skin design ide we need to set negative margin to our content row.

This is the final result. This is how easy to create your own skins for your posts loops.
